Update 2016 Jun 3:

The Gemini South update is complete.

Update 2016 June 2:

The Gemini South update is in progress but the Gemini North update has been postponed until Monday June 6 in order to resolve a problem that was discovered during testing.

Original announcement from 2016 June 1:

The Gemini observing databases will be offline for several hours on Thursday June 2 while we perform quarterly software updates.

During this time the following services will be unavailable:

  • Observing Tool synchronizations, file transfers, and non-sidereal target queries
  • Phase I Tool guide star probability queries

The new 2016B Observing Tool should be available on Friday June 3 and will be required to access the observing databases.
