Previous GMOS-S Gain and Read Noise Values

 

Hamamatsu detectors (June 2014 - Aug 31 2015)

The table below gives gain/read-noise values for the GMOS Hamamatsu CCDs before the replacement of the video C-boards by the improved E-boards that fixed the banding problem. Note: GMOS South data obtained with E2V detectors (i.e. before June 2014) should use the older values (see bottom)

High and low gain settings for the best amplifiers (3-amp mode) are highlighted for both slow and fast readout modes. Note: GMOS South data obtained before September 1, 2006 should use the older values (see bottom)
