This section of the Gemini website contains technical information about the telescopes, their instruments, and observing procedures that is needed by scientists who either (1) wish to apply for observing time at Gemini, (2) have been allocated time at Gemini and wish to plan their observations, or (3) have data obtained at Gemini that they wish to reduce. The section also contains observing schedules, status of programs in the queues, information on observing efficiency and publications based on Gemini data and/or by Gemini staff.

As part of an ongoing program of improvements to the Gemini website, most of the subsections were redesigned and reorganized in 2008. The new pages, based on the Drupal content management system, aim to present information in a more logical and findable manner and to better reflect the path taken by a PI from initial idea to final publication.

The new pages have undergone a period of fairly extensive testing on various browsers and operating systems, but users will undoubtedly uncover features and behavior which could be improved. Please report any technical problems and usability issues to the Gemini web page working group and we will do our best to address them.
