Stephen C. Carpenter, MPH, CSP, is the Safety Coordinator for Gemini North based in Hilo, Hawai`i. He has worked as an occupational and environmental health and safety professional for 13 years in diverse workplace environments, including the USA, Philippines, Canada, and Europe. Stephen works to form strategic partnerships with all stakeholders in the occupational setting in order to develop a proactive, shared, and sustainable approach to risk mitigation. He has experience in the realm of community health, environmental health, and occupational health and safety. Stephen has also implemented effective safety systems in the form of the DNV isrs7 (International Safety Rating System). |

Alejandra Cortes is a Risk Prevention Engineer and Gemini South’s Safety Coordinator. She is a safety, health and environment guide, educator and trainer for all levels of employees and management. She specializes in accident prevention, occupational hygiene and environmental control. She has professional skills in safety planning, problem diagnoses and in finding solutions for safety problems. She has experience in integrating safety management systems such as OHSAS 18,001 into construction companies as well as the fishing, food and transport industries. |
