Mid-IR Resources
Between them, Gemini's mid-infrared instruments --- Michelle, T-ReCS and visiting spectrograph TEXES --- are capable of imaging, spectroscopy and imaging polarimetry in the atmospheric windows at approximately 7-14 and 17-25 microns. Diffraction-limited images are routinely delivered over most of this wavelength range, and spectral resolutions up to ~100,000 are available. These pages aim to summarise these capabilities and provide general information on mid-IR observing, calibration and data reduction at Gemini. Detailed, instrument-specific information (on filters, gratings and sensitivities, for example) is available on each instrument's own pages.
