With the recent detection of X-ray emission from the Arches cluster, we examined the existing Chandra observations of the Galactic center region to determine X-ray properties of near-IR cluster candidates, known stellar clusters (Quintuplet, IRS 16), and HII regions associated with massive star forming regions. The preliminary results indicate that about half of the candidate clusters in the inner 2.0 x 0.8 square degrees have X-ray counterparts. Using multi-wavelength properties of the clusters, we discuss the possibility of using x-ray observations to identify new stellar clusters in the Galactic center region.
