Orphan HII Regions Near Stephan's Quintet
Astronomers using the Frederick C. Gillett Gemini Telescope on Mauna Kea have discovered four metal-rich HII regions studded with clusters of hot young stars well away from the compact group of galaxies known as Stephan's Quintet and its associated areas of star formation. |
