1. Gemini North LGS / Bullets Montage

The upper part of this image is a detailed view of supersonic "bullets" of gas and the wakes created as they pierce through clouds of molecular hydrogen in the Orion Nebula. The lower portion of this montage is a photograph is the propagation of Gemini's laser guide star system (LGS) taken from the catwalk of Canada France Hawaii Telescope.
