Gemini has recently been awarded two NSF grants to be used for enhancing the network connectivity in Hawaii and Chile. We discuss our plans for these grants. Of special note is the collaborative nature of these grants, and how multiple organizations can leverage individual contributions with results greater than can be achieved separately.
